Notes for Saturday, November 10, 2007
It’s
extremely important that we begin our rehearsal promptly on Tuesday,
November 20, in order to give the first applicant who conducts
that rehearsal a full hour to work with us. In order to be
prepared, we must all have copies of both Gloria and Elijah in
hand by 7:30. Sale of these two works begins at 6:45. You will
receive an email reminder prior to that date--along with the prices
of both scores. And remember that we rehearse at Northminster
Presbyterian that evening.
Please
show respect for the sanctuary of St. Luke’s by bringing in
water only. The lower level has plenty of room for eating and other
drinking.
According
to the records of the six Section Coordinators and as reported by
the Membership Chair, these thirty-three singers—nearly one
third of the number singing in tomorrow’s concert—had
perfect attendance at all regular rehearsals for the concert. Well
done.

A
Presbyterian church in a northern suburb is looking for a tenor/section
leader with significant training and experience as both a soloist
and an ensemble singer, and the willingness to blend with a small
amateur choir. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings, and on Sunday
mornings at 8:45 A.M. to prepare for a 9:45 service. Anyone
interested in this paid position should contact Music Director Kirin
Nielson at kirin@winnpres.org or 847/446-7777, ext. 24.
