Blue Notes for Tuesday, May 18, 2004
Tonight we welcome the soloists for Sunday’s concert: Lauren Curnow
and Lorenzo Formosa, who are singing the Kroeger; and Kathryn Kamp, Michelle
Wrighte, and Warren Kaplan, who are singing the Mozart. Patrick Miller, also
singing the Mozart, is unable to be with us.
There are a number of posters remaining for last-minute placement.
There are many tickets remaining for last-minute purchase.
There are several opportunities remaining for last-minute assistance: Come
to St. Luke’s at 4:00 on Friday afternoon to help set up for that evening’s
7:00 rehearsal. Help with striking the set after Saturday’s rehearsal,
which begins at 10:00. Come at 12:30 on Sunday to help set up for the concert.
Stay after Donald’s reception to help with the strike.
A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR PEOPLE BRINGING REFRESHMENTS FOR DONALD’S RECEPTION:
Please bring your treats ready to serve on/in an attractive glass, silver,
or metal serving dish. Do not use paper, cardboard, or aluminum. Cover
your food with plastic wrap and take it directly to St. Luke’s Great
Hall before the rehearsal on Sunday. Be sure to put your name on the bottom
of the dish and remember to take it home with you after the reception.
Also, several coolers are needed in which to put bottles of wine; if you
can provide one, please contact one of us. Thanks in advance for your tasty
contributions.

The Messiah note papers will be on sale again at Sunday’s concert
for those of you who need to replenish your supply--or who as yet have no
supply to replenish.
Looking forward to next season: A reliable source indicates that Cyberbass.com
does not include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. However, a website called
The Silvis Woodshed does—though not in quite the same format.
Thanks to these people who have served as ushers and ticket takers this
season: Florence Lazerson, Jean McCullough, Margaret Donovan, Fusayo Errico,
and John Wertymer.
Thanks to Jamie Godschalk, Margaret Hendrickson, and Judy Barker for taking
charge of the box office at all three of this year’s concerts.
Finally, thanks to those of you who have contributed to Blue Notes during
the year and have been supportive of its efforts to provide all NSCS members
with information in an accessible format.
