Notes for Tuesday, May 2, 2006
Tomorrow
evening, we rehearse with the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra at Glenbrook North
High School, beginning at 7:30 P.M. The "How To Get There" map is repeated
this week on the reverse side of this page.
The "possible
extra" rehearsals for the Schumann, scheduled for May 15 and 22, and June 5,
begin at 7:30 at Trinity Lutheran Church on Golf Road.

Evanston Arts booth at last weekend's Chicago Arts Fair.
During the
week following the Shostakovich concert, our spring patron mailings will go
out, asking for donations to help bankroll our 2007-2008 concert season. An
announcement regarding this important event will be made on Tuesday, May 9.
On
Tuesday, May 16, elections of next year's officers and other Board members will

revolution are marching and demanding bread, let us NSCS capitalists march to
our local Dominick stores on May 8, 9, and 10 and stock up on some fine Russian
caviar, vodka, borscht, and other high-priced delicacies so we may be led to
financial victory thanks to the 5% return on all our purchases. Thank you--and Bawrba!
The next
meeting of the NSCS Board will be held on Saturday, May 20, at 9:00 A.M. at St.
John's Lutheran Church, 1235 Wilmette Avenue. Anyone wishing to schedule an
agenda item should speak to President David Hunt.

Bach Week is soon upon us: May 5, 7, 12, and 14. To receive more information

Skelly thanks those NSCS members who helped sponsor her in the REST Sleepwalk
2006 and is happy to donate ten percent of their contributions to NSCS.
On Sunday,
June 4, the Chicago Children's Choir presents its Spring Gala Concert at the
Harris Theater, beginning at 3:00 P.M. Directed by Josephine Lee, the Choir
sings an "inspiring ensemble of songs from around the world" in addition to
